It is likely that a person on their cell phone is watching a video. You can’t beat video with its ability to connect emotionally to communicate your message and with distribution channels at your fingertips - what’s stopping you?

Sproing launched our video services department two years ago and it has been go, go, go, ever since. Interest and demand from local businesses for video marketing continues to grow throughout the Okanagan region, keeping us busy.

“It has been predicted that video will account for 69% of all internet traffic by 2017.” ~ Ryan Shelley

Video marketing is on the rise, and for good reason: 76% of companies who have used video in the past 12 months report a direct business impact, and more than 60% plan to increase their investments in video next year, as reported by Adweek. Facebook recently reported that it is generating eight billion video views per day; Snapchat is a close second with six billion views daily. Over 6 billion hours of video are watched each month on YouTube, with over 100 hours of content uploaded every minute. YouTube reaches more US adults ages 18-34 than any cable network and it has become the 2nd largest search engine in the world after Google.

Our clients now consider video in all of their marketing strategies. From informative to entertaining videos, we help them understand their market to create videos that speak to their audience. Some of them going a step further and embracing the idea of a video ‘series’ to keep their audience engaged throughout the year.

On its own, video can only go so far, but when incorporated into an overall communications and marketing campaign it's true power is unleashed. When we sit down with a client and start to map out the production, we’ll discuss everything from scripting, location scouting to editing and launch campaigns. There’s a better understanding with clients now about how the entire video flow works.

Video will continue to grow, change and get remixed as will people’s comfort with the medium. The rise of live video streams will also help grow interest and demand for video production. As a business owner, video is possibly the greatest tool to reach your audience effectively while personalizing your brand. Now instead of watching another video on your phone - let’s go create one! Nothing’s stopping you.
