The Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre Society (VDPACS), a not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to fostering live entertainment in all its forms. Serving the North Okanagan region, the Society’s mission is to enrich the cultural fabric of the communities in the area through hosting impactful theater events and providing a diverse offering of performing arts services.

Seeking to expand its reach and impact, the Society enlisted our expertise to develop a marketing approach that would grow awareness of their services, build sponsorship value as well as refresh and broadcast its brand. Additionally, they aimed to establish a robust online presence that would educate potential patrons, members, and sponsors about their offerings. Starting with strategic planning, our creative team revitalized the Society’s story, history, and culture. With a refreshed brand, a user-friendly website, and professional videography, VDPACS is now well-equipped to promote sponsorship opportunities across all events and beyond, solidifying its role as a vibrant cultural hub.

Challenge

VDPACS faced several significant challenges. Community awareness of VDPACS and its offerings was limited, which hindered attendance and participation in their programs. In addition, the Centre’s sponsorship program was outdated and lacked the necessary engagement with potential and existing sponsors which resulted in diminishing financial support. The VDPACS brand had also grown stale, failing to resonate with the community it aimed to serve.

The Centre also struggled with a weak online presence, which made it difficult to reach and attract its ideal clients in an increasingly digital world. Furthermore, there was a lack of clear communication and education about VDPACS’s diverse range of services leaving potential patrons, members, and sponsors unaware of the value the Centre had to offer.

Solution

Creating a refreshed brand to reflect VDPACS’s vibrant offerings was the foundation for a digital strategy that involved optimizing the website, enhancing social media platforms, and engaging with digital audiences through targeted content and campaigns. Leveraging various marketing channels, we showcased the Centre’s unique value and diverse performing arts programs. The creation of a revitalized the sponsorship program, that included compelling packages that demonstrated the value of partnering with VDPACS helped to foster more substantial long-term relationships with local businesses.

Connecting with with patrons, members, sponsors and the community at large was further supported through informative video productions, community engagement tools, and social media support that highlighted the experience’s that the Centre can offer.
